American Apparel: Liverpool One

I went to the American Apparel store in Liverpool One (Paradise Street) to look at their window and instore displays. I wanted to see if there was anything there that would influence my advertisements:

The store fascia is a glass front with a chrome panel and the store name in white against the chrome. This is the same with many of the stores in Liverpool One so does not really say much about the brand. However the store signage is the brand logo and has the exact same font. This is something that will be consistent in my images. I will be able to obtain the stores brand logo off the website http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/.

American Apparel's window display is mostly about the clothes. They have lots of mannequins- both up and downstairs, and then there is clothing hanging behind them conveying how the actual product is one of the main drives behind the brand. The clothes are also really on trend and the window display is appealing to the more young 'metropolitan' person that American Apparel targets. I loved how the window display upstairs really focused on the legwear and hosiery as this was the area that you could really see when standing outside on the street and you look up.

Unfortunately I could not get pictures whilst inside the store but the layout was open and easily accesible. The clothes were a key focus again as there were more mannequins lining the walls of the stairs with various outfit ideas to inspire the customers.
